Project Selection Philosophy:
Once a project is selected and ownership of the necessary land and mineral rights is obtained, the conceptual design performed in the prospective phase becomes much more detailed. Unique solutions are developed to address the technical, environmental and
economic challenges for each property. Some elements of design include: site, utility, underground infrastructure, well (both drilling and completion) and production facility design. The end goal is a hydrocarbon recovery project with minimal surface and
environmental impact, high oil recovery factors and production rates,
efficient operations, and good return on investment.
California Projects:
The cross section below shows two of Underground Energy's current projects which are located in the Central Coast of California. These projects have varying resource characteristics, topographic constraints and other various parameters which will require unique approaches to the successful recovery of each oil-bearing resource.
- The Central Coast of California has prolific hydrocarbon resources
- Underground Energy has a diversity of projects (shown above) and other prospects in this region
